Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Shubhdwar ("we", "us") makes wedding website invitations. This policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit shubhdwar.com, message us on WhatsApp, fill in one of our forms on Facebook or Instagram, or use an invite we make.

For this policy, Shubhdwar is the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Shubhdwar is run from Delhi, India.

2. What we collect

When you contact us or fill in a form (on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or our website):

• Your name and WhatsApp or phone number
• Your wedding date and city
• Anything else you choose to send in the chat

When we make your invite, the details you give us for it, such as the names of the couple and family members, event dates, times and venues, muhurat details, your story and photos.

From Meta (Facebook and Instagram), when you submit one of our lead forms: the details you entered in the form, plus which ad you responded to.

When you visit shubhdwar.com: right now our site does not use cookies or tracking tools of its own (section 6 explains what may change). Your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages visited, for security.

3. How we use it

• To make your wedding invite and send you previews and the final link
• To reply to your messages and give you support
• To contact you on WhatsApp or phone with updates and offers from Shubhdwar, when you've agreed to this
• To understand which of our ads work, using totals rather than individual profiles
• To keep our services secure and meet legal requirements

We use your data based on your consent, which you give when you message us, submit a form or ask us to make an invite. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 8). Withdrawing doesn't affect what we did before.

4. Your invite page is shared by link

A Shubhdwar invite is a web page. Anyone who has its link can open it, and links can be forwarded beyond the people you send them to. Please only add details and photos you're comfortable sharing this way. Ask us any time to change or remove something from your invite.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with services that help us run Shubhdwar, and only as much as they need:

• Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram), to message you and run our ads
• Our website and invite hosting provider
• Google, for fonts and any tools we use to store business records
• Advertising and analytics providers, only if we introduce them (see section 6)

Some of these providers may store data outside India. We may also share data if the law requires it.

6. Advertising, cookies and tracking

Today: shubhdwar.com does not show third-party ads and does not use cookies or tracking tools of its own. Invite pages don't show ads either.

We may change this in future. We may:

• Show advertisements on shubhdwar.com or on invite pages
• Use advertising and analytics tools, such as the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or Google AdSense, to measure our own ads, understand how people use our site, and show relevant ads to people who visited it

If we do, these rules apply:

• We'll tell you first. We'll update this section to name each tool and what it's for, and change the date at the top, before it goes live.
• You choose. We'll ask for your consent in a cookie banner before using any cookie or tracker that isn't strictly needed to run the site. "Reject" will be as easy to tap as "Accept", and declining won't stop you using the site or an invite.
• What advertisers can see. Ad and analytics providers may collect your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you view, and may set cookies. Under their own policies they may use this to show you ads. We don't give them your name, your phone number or any details from your invite.
• Invite details stay out of ads. Names, photos, dates, venues and other details on an invite are never used to choose or target ads.
• Invite pages and guests. People who open an invite are the couple's guests, and we don't ask them for their details. If ads or trackers run on invite pages, guests will see the same cookie banner, and we'll tell the couple before their invite is affected.

To manage ads you've seen elsewhere, use Ad Settings in your Google account or Ad Preferences in your Facebook and Instagram accounts, or clear cookies in your browser.

7. How long we keep it

• Your contact details: until you ask us to delete them, or 24 months after we last spoke, whichever comes first
• Your invite page: online for 3 months after your wedding date, then taken down, unless you ask us to keep it or remove it sooner
• Records we must keep by law: for as long as the law requires

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal data we hold about you
• Correct or update it
• Delete it
• Stop sending you offers. Reply "STOP" on WhatsApp
• Withdraw your consent completely

Message or call us using the details in section 10 and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.

9. Children

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you on WhatsApp if we're in touch.
